Cap Structures Explained

1. Structured
Has reinforced front panels, usually with buckram (a stiff fabric).
Maintains a firm shape, even when not being worn.
Gives that high-profile or mid-profile "standing" look.
Common in: Trucker caps, snapbacks, sports team hats, and corporate logo caps.

2. Unstructured
No internal support in the front panels.
Conforms to the shape of your head.
More relaxed, low-profile fit with a slouchy or natural look.
Common in: Dad hats, soft caps, retro casual styles.

3. Semi-Structured (Light Structured)
Has minimal support, often just a thinner or softer form of buckram.
Holds a little shape but is still flexible and more relaxed than full structured.
Great for balancing casual style with just a bit of shape.
Common in: Fashion caps, hybrid casual styles.
